Value Prism Consulting is a management consulting firm with an immediate opening for experienced Web Developers client and in-house projects. We are looking for an individual who can design, build, and program Silverlight and/or HTML5 Applications, Web pages with HTML and using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Web Development efforts for client and internal projects, including HTML5 and Silverlight-based applications

  • Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment

  • Promote and apply best practices and standards

  • Establish and maintain the overall technical vision for projects

  • Work with technical and business partners to map business process flows to application functionality

  • Design, develop, and maintain client-specific applications leveraging HTML5 and Silverlight technologies

  • Implement best practices, ensuring that jobs are completed in required time frames to client specifications

  • Design and build Web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools

  • Ensure cross-capability between browsers and operating systems for all web sites

  •  Help with website management and publishing of Silverlight and HTML content

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Silverlight 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 skills with 4-5 years of experience in .NET

  • Knowledge of XAML, data binding, visual tree, data templates, and control templates

  • 3+ years of relevant Web/GUI development experience in web applications with links to examples

  • 3+ years of software development/architect experience in C++, Visual Basic and/or C#.  Knowledge of ActiveX/NPAPI is strongly preferred

  • Experience with HTML including HTML5, JavaScript, XML, Silverlight or other related technologies such as object oriented languages and systems, web services, REST, SOAP

  • Have worked on at least one shipped web application

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to take a project from concept through production

  • Must be able to take constructive client feedback to deliver high quality and customer satisfaction

  • Capability of translating business requirements into application interfaces and graphical concepts to address client solutions and satisfy client needs

  • Experience with Web design and publishing software packages and have global sensitivity to diversity through imagery, symbols, and color selection

  • Solid MS Office skills

  • Some team / project management and marketing experience

  • Experience with SQL Server, IIS and .NET Framework a preferred

  • Experience with a migration or conversion in Silverlight preferred
