VPC Consultants work with clients to analyze current business processes, focusing on the impact of technology, and perform operational and financial analyses presenting findings to client’s senior management.  Consultants must be professionals who have an interest in how business processes work and interact.  

As a VPC Consultant, you will be required to independently:

  • Conduct client interviews and gather data from the client as well as from secondary research sources

  • Prepare current state analysis of business processes, identify gaps in the current state, and outline potential future states

  • Create a business case and cost/benefit analysis of moving from the current to the future state

  • Develop potentially complex financial analyses

  • Participate in the development of new approaches and methodologies

  • Perform analysis and develop recommendations in one or more of the following areas: TCO, ROI, Risk, Security, Business Impact, Switching Costs and/or Sourcing

  • Prepare client deliverables consisting of Excel models, Word, PowerPoint documents and videos

Key Candidate Requirements:

  • Possess a working knowledge of the high tech industry and/or IT functional areas and solutions

  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement leveraging information and technology including delivery of Microsoft BVPS engagements (see www.microsoftbvps.com)

  • Proactive and driven to provide the highest quality service to clients

  • Able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Able to clearly articulate technical and business concepts to clients and peers

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or business; MBA degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant management consulting experience, preferably with a large consulting firm
