With operations in 36 countries, Logica provides information technology and business consulting services to clients worldwide. The company’s operations in France support a quarter of the total employees and manage some of the largest clients in Europe. Logica had multiple security vendors, each with a discrete infrastructure, making it difficult and inefficient to protect users. The company was eager to consolidate its IT infrastructure and gain tighter control over its assets. In 2010, Logica began upgrading their desktop security solution to Microsoft® Forefront® Endpoint Protection 2010 and System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to gain greater operational efficiencies via convergence of desktop security and management. Through this upgrade, Logica expects to increase system protection, improve reporting insights, and reduce systems ownership cost; resulting in U.S.$165,000 annual savings.Download

SharePoint 2010 helps organizations and users improve efficiencies and effectiveness by enabling them to better manage their information sharing. The Sites capability of SharePoint 2010 serves as a “one-stop shop” for all of an organization’s business Web sites. Whether a team site for employees, an extranet site for partners, or an Internet site for customers, users can share and publish information using one familiar system. This paper provides business decision makers (BDMs), such as Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), technical decision makers (TDMs) such as Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), and end-users with an overview of SharePoint 2010 Sites.
Primo Water Corporation, based in Winston-Salem, NC, is the leading supplier of bottled water dispensers in the US. The company operates in two segments – Primo Bottled Water Exchange that sells 3 and 5 gallon bottles of purified water and Primo Products that sells water dispensers for those and other compatible bottles. As a privately owned, fast-growing start-up firm, the company quickly outgrew the capabilities of their QuickBooks accounting software and chose to migrate to Microsoft Dynamics® GP. Primo Water needed a comprehensive solution to take advantage of the technology capabilities, but wanted to avoid the complexity and high costs that often come with larger, more drawn out implementations. By adopting and upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Primo Water achieved added business value, while being able to deploy the solution quickly and affordably.Download
Oldcastle Precast is a leading manufacturer of precast and polymer concretes, and plastic products in the United States. Locked in to a legacy ERP solution for almost 15 years, Oldcastle faced increasing risk and cost in supporting this aging system. In 2001 they decided to migrate to Axapta 2.1. Oldcastle Precast realized significant benefits from this migration; however, that was dwarfed by the much greater value they experienced by continually upgrading their Microsoft® Dynamics® AX solution as subsequent versions became available. By staying on the most current version of Dynamics AX, Oldcastle Precast could leverage the added features to lower inventory variance, consolidate overheads, centralize business functions, and further improve their manufacturing operations. By 2010, for every U.S.$1 invested the company generated almost U.S.$5 of benefits.Download
